Material, moral and spiritual trash

Whenever something loses its initial function, we immediately call it trash and discard it. However, the traditional assignments of the objects are symbolic. They were created along centuries of searches for solutions for life in society. But things might have more than one life, they can be used in different situations for different purposes. Natural processes do not generate waste – it is a human concept, because in the nature everything can change and be adapted for a new function. Metabolic processes like digestion and photosynthesis, for example, produce substances that are bad for the organisms who make them, but that can be used by others as energy sources.

Frequently, despite the amount of information available nowadays regarding the risks of neglectful trash disposal, many people still overlook alternatives like reusing and recycling garbage. Environmental damaging would certainly be lowered if everyone worried about the correct destiny of solid waste, which would prevent water and soil pollution and reduce the extraction of natural resources, because most of what is considered trash can be used as material for new products.

Besides solid waste, there are other types of garbage that should be considered, like moral and spiritual. Moral trash is when somebody gets harmed by another person’s aggressive or violent acts. Spiritual trash, on the other hand, is related to negative thoughts and feelings: hatred, envy, greed, anger, etc. There are no doubts regarding how dangerous excessive production, neglectful dumping and inadequate disposal of solid waste can be. The same can be said about moral and spiritual waste. The conscious energy is an element that can make people reduce all kinds of trash. If the whole society was oriented by this energy, we would certainly lower the pollution of the Earth significantly.

There are enough reasons for people to worry about moral, spiritual and solid waste in the society we live. It is essential that people accept the conscious energy in order to preserve the environment and increase well-being. That is the only way we can make the Earth a better place to live.
